Machine Trades is a hands on program designed to teach students job skills in the precision machining industry. Students will be eligible for the work program in the second semester in year two. Machinists are in high demand all over the country and is an opportunity to join a good paying job right out of high school. 

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Year 1
During the first year students will be learning to run milling machines, lathes, drill press, horizontal and vertical bandsaws, bench grinders, surface grinders and various power tools. Students will also be introduced to Computer Numerical Control (CNC) lathes and milling machines.

Year 2
Students will be introduced to advanced machining techniques as well as CNC programming and set ups. Students will be eligible for the work program in the second semester and can use employment as class credit.
