Strategic Planning Results

2020 Survey Results

Mansfield City School District began a strategic planning process in partnership with our community—parents, families, staff, students, and community members—with the intention to develop and implement the plan at the beginning of the 2020–2021 school year. To ensure a safe and effective restart to the school year amid a global pandemic, we paused these efforts.

We remain fully committed to our future, and setting the priorities, focusing energy and resources, strengthening operations, to ensure that employees and stakeholders are working toward common, measurable goals.

Community input was essential to this process. Thank you, again, to those of you who completed the survey and took time to participate in the focus groups. Your voices are key to this process. We recently spent time analyzing the feedback from the surveys and focus groups to identify strengths of the district and areas where we need to improve.

Some findings the Mansfield CSD Survey Results 2020 include:

While we are proud of the positive findings we learned from the focus groups and surveys, we need to roll up our sleeves and get to work addressing the areas of opportunity. Originally planned for this month, Superintendent Stan Jefferson made the decision to move the writing portion of the Strategic Plan to the summer, so that along with the district partner, EPIC Impact Education Group, he can engage and incorporate more teachers into the writing process and plan development. Starting June 10, a teacher representative from each school and a variety of staff with other roles within the district, will be part of strategic planning. As we engage teachers on the writing team, we will continue to incorporate and embed the feedback from parents, community, students, and staff as we identify our goals. This allows us the opportunity to cultivate the type of culture we want in our schools—administrators and staff working closely together.
