MANSFIELD CITY SCHOOLS STRATEGIC PLANNING
MESSAGE TO COMMUNITY
In partnership with Dr. Bobby Moore and Epic Impact Education Group, MCS has been diligently working to develop a three- to five-year plan to anticipate the growing needs of our student body, families, staff, and teachers. Dr. Moore comes with a vast array of experiences to assist school districts with positioning themselves for the future.
The proactive work of our committee members in collaboration with the MCS community will allow the district to be well-positioned or the 21st century. To date, the committee has developed a draft mission and vision statement:
- Mission: With love and expertise, Mansfield City Schools prepares diverse leaders and builds positive relationships with staff, students, and educational allies.
- Vision: Mansfield City Schools will be the premier learning destination in Richland County. In addition, three “Big Ideas” and overarching goals have been identified to drive the specific work and implementation:

Succeed - Instill in students the knowledge, skills, and characteristics needed for success
Engage - Actively engage and collaborate with all MCS stakeholders Renew - Ensure expenditures target instructional improvement, invest in highly effective, diverse staff, and 21st-century facilities

The district’s next steps included finalizing the above initiatives and gathering feedback. This has allowed the district to determine funding priorities and decide what strategies will drive the work. We anticipate finalizing the work in late fall 2021.
