Dear Families/Students,
Our staff would like to welcome all returning students back to Malabar.  We also would like to welcome all 4th graders and new students to the district.  WE ARE MALABAR!!  The Malabar staff is looking forward to the 2018-19 school year.  Our staff wants each and every student to feel safe, challenged and supported. Please make sure that your child attends school daily and arrives to school by 8:00.  Students who arrive to school late miss out on important learning activities.  Please make sure your child receives plenty of rest and is prepared to learn.
During the summer our staff attended training to become a trauma informed school.  Our staff will use strategies to create a positive culture in the classroom and throughout the building where students feel safe to learn.  We hope that this not only helps the culture of the school, but also will help reduce the stress on your family as well.
The Malabar staff will continue to focus on Safety, Academics, and Respect.  We will promote positive behavior and celebrate each child who has demonstrated core values that we teach every day.  Every student will practice Respectful and Responsible behavior.  The staff at Malabar are determined to provide your child with a caring, safe, and challenging education.  We are excited for this upcoming school year!  Please feel free to contact us at any time throughout the year.
