Congratulations to junior Syncere Long and freshman Ta'Neyah Hammock! Their accomplishments on the track and in the field last week at the OCC Championships led them to being selected as this week's Jersey Mike's Above and Beyond Players of the Week. Syncere jumped a personal best 19'11" in the long jump to earn a 3rd place finish and a spot on the podium. He also ran a personal best time of 23.76 to place 7th in the 200 meter dash in addition to running legs on the Tygers 4x100 and 4x200 meter relays that placed 6th and 7th, respectively. He earned a total of 13 points for the team at the Championships. Ta'Neyah earns her second award of the season after setting 2 personal bests at the conference meet. She leapt 15' 2" to finish 6th place in the long jump and ran 17.05 in the 100 meter hurdles for another 6th place. She totaled 6 individual points.
