The school
year will be extended at Malabar Intermediate School and Springmill STEM
Elementary for earlier closings not related to weather. Malabar
students will go an extra day on Thursday, May 24, to make up for a day lost to
a power outage in November. The last day for Malabar teachers will be May 25.
At Springmill, four additional days will make up for time lost to a gas line repair in March. Kindergarten and first-grade students will attend on May 24, 25, 29 and 30. Pre-kindergarten classes will be in session on May 24, 29 and 30. Pre-kindergarten teachers will have a work day on May 25. All Springmill teachers will have a work day on May 31.
All other
schools will follow the previously announced end-of-school dates.
All schools
across the district will have early release on Wednesday, May 23, the last day
of school for all students except those at Malabar and Springmill. The final
day for teachers other than those at Malabar and Springmill will be May 24.
Buses and
food service will be in operation on the extended days.
