It all started during Hispanic Heritage month, when we learned about the types of government of the two countries and I told them about the monarchy and the King and Queen of Spain. As a project, the students wrote a letter and drew a picture each to the King in the hope that he would reply.
And this week we received a reply from His Majesty the King's Household in Spain, telling us that the King has read the letters, thanked us for the beautiful letters and encouraged us to keep working on learning Spanish.
My students are thrilled with the response and I wanted to share it.
