2022 Retirees
Sometimes teachers and staff forget the impact they have. Schools are a busy place and teachers and staff are busy people, so it's not surprising that sometimes they miss out on the chances to stop and reflect upon the influence they wield over the young people in their care. Often it's the little conversations, the easily-forgotten asides, the friendly smile or brief compliment that means the most to young people and while some might forget them by the time it comes to writing the next report, planning the next lesson, or serving the next meal, those words can remain with a young person for a very long time, shaping their personality and their thoughts.

So we want to thank our teachers and staff who are retiring this year. For your selfless acts, going above and beyond to meet the needs of our students, for the trying times and the unforeseen circumstances that have happened in recent years. For your adaptation to the challenges, you have risen to in order to continue to show up for your students, for the sleepless nights, and the hard work and dedication that you have continued to achieve throughout these years. We want you to know for the days that you may have questioned, or the times you may have doubted your efforts, you never went unnoticed, and we want you to know, that though there will be a new person who will hold your previous position, what you have taught and how you've influenced the students while in your position cannot be replaced. You have proven that the lessons learned are not restricted to the walls of a classroom, but that the world is our classroom fueled by the passion of dedicated staff and educators that are driven by the natural curiosity of the learner.

We thank you, and we wish you an enjoyable new chapter in your life.
