Outstanding Tygers

Gavin Camack from Spanish Immersion and Mehki Bradley from Mansfield Senior High School were recognized and awarded the Outstanding Tyger this month.

Gavin participated in the Richland County Spelling Bee. As a top speller at the Richland County Spelling Bee, Gavin was invited to participate in the Tri-County Spelling Bee where 34 of the top spellers from Crawford, Morrow, and Richland counties were invited to compete. Participating in a spelling bee is much more than just memorizing words. Students who parget their spelling studies not only increase their overall vocabulary but also strengthen their cognitive abilities and develop positive study and learning habits.  Gavin’s participation and preparation for the spelling bee will serve him well throughout the future.  Gavin’s display of good character, preparedness, and integrity made him a wonderful representative of the district at both the Richland and Tri-County Spelling Bees.

Mehki was the Most Valuable Wrestler for the Mansfield Senior High School Wrestling Team this year. He was runner-up at the Norwalk District and went on to place seventh at the Ohio High School Wrestling Tournament. Mehki is a 3-year letterman in the Wrestling program, and he was also selected for The Ohio Cardinal Conference Defensive Player of the Year in football this past season.

Outstanding Job Tygers!
