Public forum on superintendent part of board meeting Tuesday
A public forum regarding the selection of the next superintendent of Mansfield City Schools will be on the agenda when the board of education meets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, in Pete Henry Gym at Mansfield Senior High.

The district’s Academic Services Department will recognize Melinda Newman, third-grade teacher at Prospect Elementary School, as the district’s Every Student, Every Day champion.

The board will consider approval of new contracts with the Mansfield School Employees Association, both teachers and support staff.

Treasurer Robert Kuehnle will present his financial five-year forecast, which is required by state law to be submitted in May and October.

At the conclusion of regular business, the board will take a five-minute recess to prepare for the public forum. The board will welcome ideas and opinions about the selection of a superintendent but will not permit criticism or promotion of any individual. A three-minute time limit per speaker will be in effect.
