Samuel Kime - Mansfield Senior High - Associates Degree
Mr. Rizzo recognized Samuel Kime at the March 8th board meeting. Sam recently received his Associate's Degree from The Ohio State University. Mr. Rizzo read part of the letter of recommendation from Sr. Principal Kris Beasley for Sam's OSU Alumni scholarship application. In part; "Sam has been enrolled in the accelerated program from his 1st day at Mansfield Senior and even going back to 7th-grade. While being a student here at Mansfield Senior High School Sam has shown laser-like focus on his academics taking all of the advanced courses we could enroll him in as well as taking CCP coursework beginning as a freshman and an entire CCP schedule for his 11th and 12th-grade years. Sam's determination and academic excellence have led him to graduate from High School with an Associate's Degree in the first semester of his senior year. Mr. Rizzo stated, on behalf of Mr. Beasley, the students of the class of 2022 as well as the administration, we congratulate you on all that you have accomplished.

William Payne - Student-Athlete
Kevin Porter, MCS Athletic Director welcomed the opportunity to recognize William Payne, he said that William epitomizes the term student-athlete. Mr. Porter proceeded to read from a list of William's accomplishments. He will also graduate with an Associate's degree from OSU and has interest from a few schools to continue his diving career. Will plans to pursue a degree in Engineering (Structural or Mechanical) and his dream school is Stanford. Will started diving his Sophomore year and finished 7th at the OCC meet and 21 at districts (108.7).In his Junior year, he finished 4th at OCC and 10th at districts (331.4) and 21st at State (128.1). He was OCC champ with a total dive of 469.50 (11 dives) which broke a 41-year-old record and was named Diver of the year. He finished 3rd at Districts (383.3). He finished 5th ay State with a score of (383.30) which earned him All-State Honors. William Payne is our highest placing diver in school history
