Outstanding Tygers

Keontez Bradley, Mansfield Senior High    

  • Competed in the 400-meter dash during the OHSAA State Track Meet at Ohio State University's Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, in early June of 2022.


  • Placed eighth in the 400 meters


  • Won the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes in blustery conditions at the 89th Mansfield Mehock Relays, pulling the rare triple for just the third time since the meet went metric in 1979. 



Maurice Ware, Mansfield Senior High  

 

  • Competed in the high jump during the OHSAA State Track Meet at Ohio State University's Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, in early June of 2022.


  • Finished as state runner-up with a jump of 6'8


  • Cleared 6-0 for one of the highest jumps and finished tied for first place at the Mehock Relays. 


  • Cleared 6-4 at the Bill Krause Invitational in Tiffin, coming in first. 



Amil Upchurch, Mansfield Senior High 

    

  • Competed in the high jump during the OHSAA State Track Meet at Ohio State University's Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, in early June of 2022.


  • Placed seventh, with his best jump of 6-6


  • Cleared 6-0 for one of the highest jumps and finished tied for first place at the Mehock Relays. 


  • Cleared 6-4 at the Bill Krause Invitational in Tiffin, coming in second.
