April's Every Student, Every Day Champion is Robin Burkhardt!
Robin is a Library Paraprofessional at Sherman Elementary School and her passion is getting kids hooked on reading, a goal that is increasingly challenged by cell phones and video games.
“Reading is so important. It is something that will serve these students for their entire lives,” says Burkhardt. Reading is a daily pursuit in the colorful and inviting Sherman library.
Each year Mrs. Burkhardt focuses on making Right to Read Week something special and a fun time for students in all grades. Her hope, as always, is that it will help to foster a joy of reading that will last a lifetime.
Robin goes above and beyond for our students to make each one feel special. She truly is one of a kind. Thank you for everything that you do, and most importantly, thank you for being you.
