Go ahead, let your car get dirty; Malabar staff will wash it June 20

It’s never too early to plan to have your car washed for a good cause.

The staff at Malabar Intermediate School wants to raise money to provide welcome-back gift bags for approximately 700 fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders when they start school this fall.

“The last nine weeks were rough for everyone because of the closing caused by COVID-19 concerns,” Principal Tom Hager said. “Our Malabar mental health committee thought it would be a great idea to start the new year – whenever that is -- with gift bags for the kids.”

Malabar staff will wash cars for donations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, at Ashland University’s Schar College of Nursing, 1020 S. Trimble Road.

The rain date will be June 26.
