The Tyger
Clubs after-school program at Mansfield Middle School will host a Family Night
from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10. The evening will offer a variety of
activities and resource information. Students in Cooking Club – one of several popular academics-based Tyger Clubs – will prepare snacks for the evening.
Christina
Drain, site manager of the after-school program, said parents will see the new
Chromebooks students are using in class and learn how they can help their
children prepare for state testing.
Staff from
local agencies will be on hand to share information about many subjects,
including adult education, stress relief, summer gardens, substance abuse and
mental health assistance.
There will
even be a session on car-buying tips. Families also can join a roundtable
discussion of topics that are important to them.
Additional
Family Nights are planned for March 31 and April 21. More information about
those programs will be shared later.
