Hello, my name is Ms. Costin and I am the new School Counselor at Malabar Intermediate this year working alongside Mr. Grassel.
I am from Columbus, Ohio…which means I am a Buckeye Fan, GO BUCKS! Malabar is a place where teachers,
administrators, and school staff come to support students in all aspects of
life. I could not be more thrilled to be
a part of the Malabar/Tyger Family.
the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.”
It can be so easy to self-doubt and give up before even beginning a difficult task. Remember, in order to achieve greatness, you have to put in the EFFORT. With effort and determination, anything is possible.
Testing, Testing, Testing!
It’s that time of year for everyone to take the AIR and MAP Assessments. Remember what your teachers have taught you because these tests are important. If you’re getting nervous that’s ok, it’s a normal part of life. Remember to breathe, stay focused, get a good night’s sleep before the test, and eat breakfast every morning. We have faith that all students at Malabar Intermediate will try their best.
Ms. Costin and I can’t tell you how much of our time is spent dealing with students who can’t seem to get along. It’s important to note that you don’t have to like everyone you come in contact with, but you DO have to be nice and respectful. This will make life easier for you and the people around you. If anyone is being treated poorly by someone else please write either Ms. Costin or Mr. Grassel a note, put it in our mailboxes, and we can talk about it. No one deserves to be bullied….NO ONE!
GOLDEN RULE, TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU
WANT TO BE TREATED.
Mr. Grassel, Counselor
