Science/ Social Studies Teacher- Mrs. Uhde
Hello TYger families! I teach 6th grade science and social studies here at Malabar. This is my dream job!! I have taught for 17 years in grades 4, 5 and 6. I have been a resident of Mansfield for 23 years and most of my teaching years have been here at Mansfield City Schools. I have a Master’s Degree in Education from The Ohio State University. I am certified to teach grades K-8 with an area of concentration in ART. My favorite things about teaching are projects, reading, exploring new ideas, being curious, giving back to my community and sharing my passion for learning with my students.
Outside of school, I am a mother of 3 goofballs - ages 8, 17, and 22 (two of them are here at City Schools and one is a graduate of MSH and just aquired her degree at Lewis and Clark College). I have been married for 9 years. When I am not busy with family, I have a range of pets - a dog named Leaf, lots of fish and a silly hamster that keep me busy. I LOVE being outside, traveling, Cleveland sports, TYger football, camping, museums, playing games, laughing, making art, listening to music, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
