Math Teacher- Mr. Strong

My name is Brad Strong, I have been a teacher in the MCS for 26 years, and am currently a 6th grade math teacher. I grew up around the Mansfield area and have lived in Mansfield my entire adult life.  I graduated from Crestview HS in 1987, the same year I married my High School Sweetheart.  I graduated from THE Ohio State University in 1993 with a BA in early/middle childhood education (1-8) and began teaching in Mansfield in 1995.  I started my career @ John Simpson for 13 years, went to Outdoor Education for 7 years, and am starting my 8th year @ Malabar.  I have two daughters, Kory (29) & Mia (14).  I have been married for 34 years.

I enjoy camping, sitting around campfires, riding my motorcycle, listening to old records, traveling, and spending time with my family.  I am also the Union President for the MSEA, Treasurer for the Little Buckeye Children’s Museum, as well as being a teacher.  Teaching has been very rewarding in my life & I enjoy being a math teacher!

Science/ Social Studies Teacher- Mrs. Everhart

Hi! My name is Kory Everhart and I am one of the 6th grade science and social studies teachers. I was born and raised right here in Mansfield, Ohio. I graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 2009 and then graduated from THE Ohio State University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Middle Childhood Education with areas of concentration in language arts and social studies. I married my husband, and best friend, in 2014 and we had our first child, Bransen, in January 2021. He is the BEST thing that has ever happened to us!

Besides spending all the time I can with my family, I do have some other interests. I enjoy living here in Mansfield, but I also love traveling and seeing new places! My favorite place that I’ve ever visited was Italy (the food was AMAZING!) It is a goal of mine to one day go to Hawaii. One of my other big interests is Disney. Just about anything and everything Disney, I LOVE! I actually collect Disney pins and probably have over 700 different pins.
I was officially hired as a 6th grade teacher in 2016, but subbed throughout the Mansfield City School District the year before I was hired. I enjoy both of the subjects I teach, but I especially like social studies. We get to talk about so many different places all over the world! I LOVE 6th grade and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!
