Weather doesn't stop Spanish Immersion from taping TV show

A hardy group from Spanish Immersion School defied snow, ice and wind Wednesday morning to tape this week’s episode of WMFD TV’s “Inside Mansfield City Schools.”

Guests include Rasan Leathers, who has had three children at Spanish Immersion. Her oldest daughter, now a sophomore at Mansfield Senior High School, was a member of Spanish Immersion’s inaugural kindergarten class in 2008.

Mrs. Leathers, who also has a daughter in first grade, is joined by her fifth-grade daughter, Isabelle Blevins; principal Gabe Costa and first-grade teacher Laura Hernandez Gago.

The program will air on Spectrum channel 16 in Mansfield at 8 o’clock tonight, 4 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday. After it airs tonight the show also will be accessible at wmfd.com by going to “video and audio” at the top of the page, then scrolling down to “Inside Mansfield City Schools.”
