Senior High will welcome spooky characters on Oct. 25

Each year Safe Trick or Treat draws a crowd of costumed characters.

Ghosts, goblins and other spooky creatures will roam the hallways of Mansfield Senior High and Mansfield Middle School again this month.

The annual Safe Trick or Treat, sponsored by Senior High’s Ohio Cardinal Conference Leadership team, will be 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25. The requested admission donation is a can of non-perishable food or $1 for an entire family, all proceeds going to a local food bank.

“Safe Trick or Treat is a community service project of our OCC Leadership team,” said adviser Becky Cashell. “It’s a fun event for our families during daylight hours.”

Several clubs and classes will set up tables to hand out candy. Games and face-painting also are planned. Last year’s participants included cosmetology students, Key Club, CACY, Drama Club, Gamers Club, Freshman Academy, Spanish Immersion School, cheer squad, the English department, French Club and National Honor Society.

OCC Leadership strives to develop students to be positive leaders while implementing initiatives to make their school a better place.
