Full agenda for Board of Education's monthly meeting on Tuesday

The hiring of a principal and presentation of the district’s five-year financial forecast will be on the agenda when the Mansfield City Schools Board of Education meets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15.

Superintendent Brian Garverick will recommend the appointment of Michael Brennan as interim principal of Sherman Elementary School, the reassignment of teacher Holly Christie as Director of Student Support Programs and the appointment of Andrew Schiefer as assistant principal at Senior High.

Brennan succeeds Michael Wallace, whose resignation is on the board agenda. Christie fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Betsy Alexander, director of State and Federal Programs; Christie’s title is changed to more accurately reflect the emphasis of the office. Schiefer succeeds Lori Crum, who resigned this summer, as head of the Freshman Academy.

Treasurer Robert Kuehnle will explain details of the five-year forecast and Chief Academic Officer Stephen Rizzo will ask board approval of the Literacy Collaborative K-8 as part of the district’s Ohio Improvement Plan.

Tuesday’s meeting will be at the Raemelton central office, 856 W. Cook Road. The complete agenda is accessible by clicking on the board of education link on the district home page, www.tygerpride.com.
