Ten at Senior High qualify for Mohican District Science Day

   Ten Mansfield Senior High students – five juniors and five sophomores – earned “superior” ratings at the school’s annual science fair this week.

   Science teacher Phyllis Randall, who coordinated the fair, said all 10 are now eligible to advance to the eight-county Mohican District Science Day on March 25 at Ashland University.

   Judges awarded “superior” ratings to:

Sophomores

Aubreion Chatman, “Great Globs of Gluten”

Enberly Schaub-Hurt and Destiny Witte, “Colors and the Eye”

Joslynn Odom, “The Link Method”

Addyson Van Houten, “Cell Phone Reaction Time”

Juniors

D’Ayjon Harris, “Saturated Fat of Oil”

Cameron Hinton and Emma Sigler, “pH Levels in Different Brands of Water”

Matthew Lyons, “Charging with Fruit”

Charlotte Harris, “The Heart”

   Students who receive “superior” ratings at Ashland University will qualify to advance to State Science Day on May 13 at Ohio State University.
