Weekly TV show explores the Talented and Gifted Program

      The Talented and Gifted (TAG) Program, which serves 278 students in kindergarten through high school, is the topic for this week’s edition of WMFD TV’s “Inside Mansfield City Schools.”

      Guests are Veronica Williams-Payne, district TAG coordinator, and Austin Van Houten, a fifth-grader at Malabar Intermediate School. Williams-Payne will discuss how the program challenges students academically and stimulates creative thinking in various ways at different age levels. Van Houten will talk about his activities within TAG.

      The program will air on Spectrum cable channel 16 in Mansfield at 8 o’clock tonight, 4 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday. Later on Thursday the show also will be accessible on wmfd.com by going to “video and audio” at the top of the page, then scrolling down to “Inside Mansfield City Schools.”
